Reagan County Jail Roster Overview
The Reagan County Sheriff's Office operates the Reagan County Jail at the Law Enforcement Center in Big Lake. The sheriff's jail-services page links to the Kologik Public Jail Roster, a free public roster for Reagan County Sheriff's Office custody records. No login or payment was required during research. The roster is card based, so a person appears as an individual custody card rather than as a spreadsheet row. It can show current and recent booking information, but the public page did not publish a refresh schedule, a release-retention rule, or a maintenance window.
Use the Reagan County inmate roster first for pretrial detainees, county jail sentences, local warrants, and people waiting on transfer. Do not use it as a state prison or federal inmate locator. A felony sentence followed by transfer moves the lookup to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. A federal sentence moves the search to the Bureau of Prisons. Immigration custody belongs in ICE ODLS. When the roster is empty, delayed, or missing an expected person, call the jail, use the sheriff records path, or check the broader custody tools before assuming the person was never booked.
The Reagan County Jail Services page is the local starting point for jail services, while the roster URL is the direct search point. Both are useful because the services page also routes users to mail, funds, phones, visitation, and related jail information.
Use Reagan County Roster
The Kologik roster is designed for quick custody checks. It may show a small result set because Reagan County is a rural county and the public roster only reflects the selected result mode. If a known booking does not appear, try a broader filter, check spelling, and then use the phone or records-request fallback. Kologik filters loaded roster cards, so a name filter will not find a person outside the result set already loaded by the buttons.
The official Reagan County Kologik roster displays the public jail roster interface for the sheriff's office.
The roster screenshot shows the same public search environment used for Reagan County custody cards and roster filters.
- Open the sheriff's Jail Services page and choose the Public Jail Roster link, or open the Kologik Reagan County roster directly.
- Start with RECENT BOOKINGS if the name is unknown. Use ALL when the recent view does not show the booking you expect.
- Type a last name, first name, or middle name into Name Filter. Keep spelling tight because the filter applies to loaded cards.
- Use an A-Z button if only the last-name initial is known. This is useful when the roster has more than a few entries.
- Use Order By to sort people with the shortest or longest days in jail first, then open or read the card for booking details.
- Call the sheriff/jail at 325-884-2424 when the public roster does not resolve custody, release, transfer, or hold status.
Note: A new Reagan County booking may not appear while intake, medical screening, magistration, or warrant checks are still under way.
Reagan County Roster Fields
The Reagan County jail roster search controls are simple, but each one has a different job. The RECENT BOOKINGS and ALL buttons load result sets. Name Filter narrows what is already loaded. Order By sorts the visible roster cards. The history dropdown exists in the Kologik app for some Texas agencies, but Reagan County's inspected configuration hid that control on the public page.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Name Filter | Text | No | Filters loaded roster entries by last, first, or middle name. |
| Order By | Dropdown | No | Options include blank, SHORTEST IN JAIL, and LONGEST IN JAIL. |
| History | Dropdown | Hidden for Reagan | Kologik supports current and past-day modes, but Reagan's history-mode flag was not visible during inspection. |
| RECENT BOOKINGS | Button | No | Loads recent booking cards. |
| ALL | Button | No | Loads all cards in the selected result set. |
| A-Z buttons | Button row | No | Filters by initial, one button for each letter. |
Reagan County Inmate Profile
A Reagan County inmate record is a booking and custody record, not a final court judgment. The roster card can show the arrest date, days jailed, physical description, arresting agency, charges, warrant number, and bond. Booking charges may change after prosecutor review, and released entries may hide charge details. The public record should be read as a starting point for custody and charge routing, then checked against court records when a filed case matters.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Photo or mugshot | Booking photo support is enabled for Reagan County; a no-photo image may appear if no public image loads. |
| Name and control number | Uppercase name display plus Kologik custody identifiers used by the roster and photo endpoint. |
| Arrest or booking date | Date and time tied to the jail intake record, with days jailed shown on the card. |
| Demographics | Race, sex, age, DOB year, height, weight, eye color, and hair color as public fields permit. |
| Arresting agency | The agency that brought the person to the Reagan County Jail, such as Reagan County Sheriff's Office. |
| Charges and warrant number | Charge literal, charge code or type, comments, warrant number, and related charge-row data when populated. |
| Bond and status | Bond amount per charge, No Bond when amount is zero, and release date if the person has been released. |

Reagan County Custody Paths
The most common inmate search error is using the right name in the wrong system. Reagan County Jail records cover local jail custody. TDCJ covers sentenced state prison custody. BOP covers federal inmates from 1982 to present. ICE ODLS covers immigration detention. VINELink Texas is different from all of them because it is a custody-notification service, not a full jail booking card.
County jail: use the Reagan County roster for pretrial detainees, county jail sentences, local warrants, and transfer holds. State prison: use TDCJ inmate search after a felony sentence and transfer. Federal or ICE: use the BOP inmate locator for federal custody and ICE ODLS for immigration custody.
TDCJ's inmate-information page says location, offenses, and projected release date may be obtained online, by email, or by telephone. That means a person who no longer appears on the Reagan County roster may still be in lawful custody elsewhere. For notification instead of a detailed record, use VINELink Texas where Texas custody notification is available.
The TDCJ search form is the correct state-prison lookup after a Reagan County sentence results in transfer.
The state search uses TDCJ number, SID number, name, gender, and race fields instead of county booking-card fields.
Reagan County Jail Facility
Official sources located one Reagan County detention facility: the Reagan County Jail inside the Law Enforcement Center. No separate Reagan County city jail, work-release annex, regional jail, TDCJ unit, BOP prison, or ICE detention facility was found in the facility map research. Big Lake is the county seat, and the jail sits near the courthouse campus, so most local custody, records, clerk, JP, and county attorney routing begins in the same small area.

Reagan County Booking Process
Reagan County does not publish a full booking manual, so the best public description comes from the local roster fields and Texas intake rules. A typical route starts with arrest by the sheriff's office, a Big Lake or local officer, DPS, or a warrant authority. The person is taken to the Reagan County Jail for search, property collection, identity entry, booking photo, fingerprints where required, charge and warrant entry, medical or mental-health screening, classification, and placement in the jail.
Texas Code of Criminal Procedure article 15.17 requires that an arrested person be taken before a magistrate without unnecessary delay. The magistrate gives warnings, explains rights and the accusation, and addresses bail when release is allowed. The jail roster may show a charge and bond before the formal court case is complete. For charge filings after custody begins, use the court and clerk path rather than treating the booking charge as the final court record.
Records access follows a clear fallback chain. Start with the roster. Then call 325-884-2424 for custody confirmation. For in-person help, go to the Law Enforcement Center at 320 N. Plaza Ave. in Big Lake, but official sources do not publish a separate jail records-counter schedule. If a public record is needed, use the sheriff's report request form, email sheriff@reagancounty.org, or make a Texas Public Information Act request under Government Code chapter 552. The report request form covers crash, incident, and offense reports and says to allow up to 10 days.
Reagan County Jail Visits
The sheriff's Reagan County inmate visitation page publishes separate male, female, and attorney visit windows. Visitors must show picture ID unless they are minor children, sign in each time, appear on the inmate's five-person visitor list, and fit the posted immediate-family rule. Staff checks adult visitors for warrants. Clothing, bags, food, drinks, gum, phones, and cameras are restricted in visitation areas.
The visitation page is the source for the day-by-day schedule and the visitor list, ID, dress, and contraband rules.
| Population | Days | Hours |
|---|---|---|
| Male inmates | Wednesday | 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. |

| Female inmates | Thursday | 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. |

Note: Confirm custody with the jail before traveling, sending money, or planning a visit because release and transfer can change the same day.
Contact Reagan County Inmates
Mail to the Reagan County Jail should use the inmate's full name, Reagan County Jail, 320 N. Plaza, Big Lake, Texas 76932. The sheriff's mail page says normal-size mail is allowed, but non-privileged mail is opened, read, and checked for contraband. Inflammatory writings and pornography are rejected. Do not send cash, checks, pictures, photographs, drawings, or blank coloring sheets. Outgoing mail is delivered to the post office daily Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and incoming mail is delivered to inmates the same day received.
Phone contact is outgoing only. The inmate phones page says the jail does not allow incoming calls for inmates and that calls are monitored and recorded. Published phone-account references include Crown Correctional Telephone or CIDNET-style account setup on the phone page, while the funds page also references NCIC prepaid phone services. Keep both vendor names in mind because the sheriff pages publish both. For jail funds, the inmate funds page says the lobby kiosk accepts cash and credit cards 24 hours a day, web credit-card deposits go through JailATM, and money orders, payroll checks, and government checks are accepted. Personal checks are not accepted.
Reagan County App Alerts
The sheriff's homepage links to a mobile app landing page, and the store listings name the app Reagan County Sheriff TX. The listings describe crime reporting, tip submission, jail commissary information, inmate information, interactive communication, and public-safety news. The app is not a substitute for emergency reporting, and the store text tells users to call 911 for emergencies. It should be treated as a sheriff-linked extra channel, not as the verified source for a different app-only jail roster.
For app access, use the Apple App Store listing or the Google Play listing. For release and custody notification, use VINELink Texas when notification coverage fits the case. For booking photos tied to current roster cards, see the Reagan County jail roster mugshots page.
Note: Use the web roster and jail phone for custody confirmation; use the app for sheriff-linked information, tips, news, and advertised inmate features.
